Place beans in large pot with 1 quart of water, bring to a boil, and turn off heat
Let sit for 2 hours.
Heat a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat and add bacon.
Cook for 2 minutes on each side or until crispy and remove from the pan.
Sauté red onion in the bacon fat, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes or until soft and translucent. Drain the beans and pour into a slow cooker.
Add cooked bacon, red onion, Golden BBQ Sauce, bourbon, and water. Cook on low for 4 hours or until tender.
